Erik began playing lacrosse at the age of 12 through the influence of his younger brother. As a multi-sport athlete, Erik was immediately passionate about lacrosse because of the dynamic nature of the sport. Erik loves to share this passion for lacrosse with younger athletes while helping them form their own positive relationship with lacrosse.

Erik has a strong background in box lacrosse. After playing for the minor box lacrosse club in his hometown of St. Albert, Alberta, he was selected first overall in the RMLL Jr. A draft. Following a strong junior career where he amassed 273 total points in 70 games played, he was selected fourth overall by the Edmonton Warriors in the 2015 RMLL senior draft. In 45 games of senior lacrosse he has scored 195 total points. Erik has competed in elite box tournaments across the world. These tournaments include the Presidents Cup, LASNAI, Sin City Box Classic, and the Ales Hrebesky Memorial where he won a tournament championship in 2016.

His field lacrosse career has taken him to a variety of different places. From the ninth grade Erik identified that he wanted to play lacrosse in the NCAA. In order to afford himself the best opportunity to achieve this goal he attended three high school lacrosse academies. He went to Vimy Ridge Academy, The Hill Academy, and St. Francis Xavier Academy for grades 10, 11, and 12 respectively. Each academy gave him the opportunity to play with some of the best players in his age group, and also be exposed to some of the best coaches in the country. In grade 12, Erik was invited to participate in the Adrenaline All-American game, which showcases some of the best high school players in North America.

Erik began his coaching career when he was 16. After graduation from Cornell he obtained a personal training certification in order to further assist players in developing their athletic abilities. Erik has coached for a variety of local organizations and clubs including the GELC, Rams, Wizards, Titans, Rebels, Rams, Raiders, Posse, Warriors, Rock, Crush, Blues, and Razorbacks. He is very passionate about helping young athletes develop as athletes and people. Erik believes that sport is a great tool for creating good behaviours and habits.

Erik brings a wealth of knowledge about the game as well as the NCAA recruiting process, and is very excited to bring his experience and connections to help lacrosse players reach whatever level of play they wish to achieve.
