Stephen’s mantra is that students don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care. He lives by this mantra and works to instill kindness and sportsmanship into all of his students.
Stephen has many years of experience both playing coaching hockey at the AA and AAA levels. He is also an avid outdoor enthusiast and believes that everyone should find a love for movement. Whether your thing is hiking, camping and photography or a traditional sporting avenue, like hockey, gymnastics- Stephen challenges his students to explore movement and find their niche. He understands that our motivation for movement must come from within.
Stephen keeps himself active by playing hockey, running, doing yoga and enjoys back-country camping in the summers. Stephen keeps himself busy by spending time with his wife, his cats and volunteering in his community. Currently, Stephen is involved with Autism Edmonton and the John Reid Memorial Hockey Tournament in St. Albert.
Stephen is extremely excited to be involved with the SportFit program. He believes in the power of movement and loves to share his passion and expertise!
