David is a Donnan BJJ student-athlete who is currently attending Grade 7 at Vimy Ridge Academy and has been training BJJ for just over 2 years.
David’s young BJJ career is flourishing this year with many gold medals being added to his collection. David has excelled because of a learned work ethic, dedication to training and a calm relaxed demeanor during competitions.
He is a guard player in Jiu-Jitsu, which means he likes to play off of his back, looking for sweeps and submissions.His favorite submission is the triangle choke, which he has become extremely skilled at attacking with using it to win over 85% of his matches!
He has worked very hard on character development, becoming a leader within the dojo often leading by example demonstrating, hard work, perseverance and respect.
He won gold at the Pan-Am Championships, double gold at provincials (Gi and No-Gi) and recently won gold at the prestigious Abu Dhabi World Professional Tournament in Dubai!
